Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin have been abuzz with advertisements from every company imaginable. Which begs the questions is marketing during a deadly pandemic Tacky or Tactful? With people, the world over glued to their screens for lack of anything better to do, most say you would be a fool not to take advantage of a captive audience.
I say be careful. There is a fine line between tasteful and distasteful advertising during a time of crisis. Letting your customers know you are here to serve their needs is an exceptional way to promote your business and the cultural values of your firm. Online donation efforts and drives for charity are a must when many are hoarding every dollar imaginable. Be mindful of the image you promote online, your customers are watching and will remember.
